Safety & Security
During 2006 and 2007 we procured and installed alcohol interlocks and security cameras in all Taxi Nyköping – Oxelösund’s vehicles. The interlock device is set so that the driver may be asked to blow again during the journey. The aim of the security cameras is mainly to act as a preventative and protect drivers from crime. This creates a secure working environment for our drivers and a safe journey for our passengers.

 

“This is a way of increasing the quality assurance of our transport. When customers step into one of our taxicabs they should feel “at home” and be ensured a comfortable ride with a professional driver. We also have a dress code, and clients should be able to tell that a driver works for Taxi Nyköping – Oxelösund AB. All our drivers wear a white shirt, tie and dark blue trousers.”

     

Taxi Nyköping - Oxelösund AB also works for ”increased knowledge and awareness of traffic safety”. For the past ten years, Taxi Nyköping - Oxelösund AB has participated in safety days for six-year-olds in collaboration with the Sörmland Coast Rescue Services, ambulance, police, the National Society for Road Safety, Länsförsäkringar insurance company, etc. The safety days are aimed at all six-year-olds in Nyköping, Oxelösund and Trosa municipalities and aims to give young children a first insight into safety thinking. Taxi Nyköping - Oxelösund has contributed information about traffic safety, for example on the importance of using booster cushions and seat belts in both school taxis and private cars.
